Lovely apartment but be cautious in this area

Points positifs : We booked this apartment as the reviews were great and it offered good value for the money in a great location to visit both the centre of town and Champagne Avenue. There was no extra charge for our dog and as we were spending all day sightseeing and touring the Champagne houses this seemed perfect. Although the apartment doesn't come with parking other reviewers had said there was street parking outside and nearby so this was great as we have a car. The apartment has most amenities you need however we never used much as we were hardly there. It did get very hot during the night but the host had provided a fan which was much needed and used.

Points négatifs : Although through no fault of the host we had a terrible last day and this is where I say be cautious.....currently there are roadworks and refurbishment of the area close to the apartment so we woke up on our last day to find we were without any water because of this (we contacted our hosts who quickly called the town hall to find out what had happened) this meant we couldn't use the shower or toilet but luckily we had a bottle of water to drink as the water to the apartment wasn't being turned back on until the afternoon. As we were due to check out at 11am we decided to leave early and head to a restaurant for breakfast and use the toilet! Our car was parked outside our apartment block as we thought this was the safer option due to the fact we had items on our roof-rack but when we returned to our car on this morning someone had vandalised our car!!!!!!!!! As it was the only UK car in the street and no other French car had been damaged we assumed it was because of this. It was such a shame to have this happen as it's made us feel we don't want to return to this area.

Epernay perfect location

Points positifs : The location is fantastic for walking into the centre and up the champagne avenue. There's a fan to help keep you cool through the hot nights. The property also has everything you need if you want to stay in and cook for yourself.

A nice, clean, comfortable apartment within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in epernay.

Points positifs : It had every thing we needed. Even oil for cooking!

simple but perfect apartment, highly recommend.

Points positifs : perfect location, 2 minute walk to the Avenue du champagne, cute bakery 5 mins walk from the apartment for breakfast, very quiet at night and easy parking.
